Montpellier 34. Portages du Monde. Association born in May 2008, by the wish of 4 Montpellier mums to share with everyone the principlesand techniques of babywearing, with fabric carriers.
Participation to the workshops is of course free and open to everyone, because we believe we are all able to wear our children correctly with a good demonstration and practice.
We particularly want to insist on the fact that fabric carriers ( such as wraps , slings, pouches or mei-tais) are more suited and more comfortable than the big stores buckle carriers, and that it is easier to make them yourselves if you have a minimal sewing ability.
We also lend these different carriers, to our subscribers.
We want to share our ideas about the benefits of babywearing, and of attachment parenting in general.

3 types of workshops are offered, an introduction lasting 1h 30 mns for a first-time approach of babywearing with a wrap or other ergonomical carriers,two lessons lasting 2h, one with a woven wrap, the other one with a stretchy wrap. The equipment is lent by the association during the lessons, wraps can be sold (Colimacon & cie, JePorteMonBéBé) if need be. Subscription is not compulsory to take part in the lessons.
